HISTORIC ARTIFACT – Jewelers of Vincennes circa 1869-1873, the Bittermans moved their business to Evansville sometime in the mid 1870s, and remained in the jewelry business there at least until 1896. Silverware bearing the mark of Bitterman Brothers is extant. An elegant twist-handle large ladle from their shop is pictured in Indiana Silversmiths, Clock Makers and Watchmakers, 1779-1900.
