Fort Wayne, Indiana circa 1887-1881
A prominent jeweler of Ft. Wayne, Andrew Mayer was advertising in the Ft. Wayne Sentinel on January 17, 1857, that he had moved into his new store at No. 88 Columbia Street. He further advertised watches, jewelry and plated tea sets. Mayer continued to advertised his shop in Ft. Wayne for many years. In 1866 he entered into a partnership with a Mr. Graffe, which business continued under the name of Mayer & Graffe until 1881.
